The Lappwaldbahn Cargo has a Schöma small locomotive type CFL-40 DR available for workshop shunting and training purposes. Originally delivered to Hans-Heinrich-Hütte GmbH in Langelsheim, in November 2016 it made its way through several interim owners into the inventory of the Lappwaldbahn Group and has been operational again since 2017.
