Lappwaldbahn is a founding partner of Norddeutschen Eisenbahnfachschule GmbH (NEF). NEF is a training facility approved by the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) specifically for training railway technicians and, simultaneously, a training and examination centre of the Triebfahrzeugführerscheinverordnung (TfV) (Ordinance on traction vehicle driver’s licences). It is also certified by DEKRA for training and work classification (AZAV). Through the participation of LWS Lappwaldbahn Service GmbH, requirements-based and practical training is possible through NEF, at the Weferlingen location and other places, to regularly achieve the optimal results in the interplay between theory and practice. Today, NEF has firmly established itself as a training partner in northern Germany specifically for railway technicians.
