INDEPENDENT COMPANY AREA

LWI Lappwaldbahn Instandhaltung, with headquarters in Weferlingen, is an independently led division within LWS Lappwaldbahn Service GmbH.

The track construction team are equipped with the latest technology and ready for track construction measures of all types.

MAINTENANCE

Our range of activities reaches from labour-intensive point maintenance to track stabilisation and vegetation control.

SUPPORT FOR TECHNICAL SAFETY SYSTEMS

We holistically maintain the systems to guarantee or reinstate the ideal condition

Approx. 900 m of track were renovated and reactivated in the still existing railway lines.

TEUTOBURGER FOREST RAILWAY

The 50 km branch line will be completely upgraded for heavy freight transport by the end of 2023/beginning of 2024.

HELMSTEDT – WEFERLINGEN BRANCH LINE

This route was put into operation on 7th May 2009, following extensive construction measures.
